Catering Manager
The Catering Manager is directly responsible for growth, development, and execution for all catering and special events for Wright’s BBQ.
Major Responsibilities and Activities:
- Have a “Yes” mentality when it comes to all catering/special events request
- Drive total sales and profitability growth for all special events done via Wright’s BBQ.
- Proactively pursues new catering & special events business.
- Supports stadium business as needed. Suite Catering, Tailgates ETC…
- Works with store manager on any large caterings which include service and engagement from Wright’s BBQ staff.
- Manage and support all areas of the catering and special events operations and make final decisions on matters of importance
- Knowledge of current state health codes and guidelines. Currently holds or willing to complete Serve Safe Manager Training and Exam.
- Possess the ability to manage personnel, daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards and product quality.
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
- Responsible for insuring Catering vehicles are kept in working order and scheduled maintenance is complete.
- Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
- Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets
- Works to achieve set goals regarding food costs, labor costs, operating expenses, sales, and profitability goals.
- Responsible for ensuring all financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
- Maintains a professional brand image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards.
- Responsible for full compliance of all HR policies and procedures for employees/volunteers.
- Conducts orientation, oversees training of new employees/volunteers.
- Provides strong presence in local community and high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel, always upholding the image of Wright’s Barbecue.
- Performs additional reasonable requests or responsibilities by COO or Owners at any time.

- Self-motivational skills and hands-on management approach
- Able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
- Possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
- Knowledge of and understanding of restaurant goals and objectives, policies and procedures
